Now you’ve chosen me, please cherish me…

Remember garments face the most amount of wear and tear during washing so the less you wash the item the longer it will stay looking new.

Line dry – hang your garments on the line (the safest way to dry your clothes). Hang them carefully to avoid getting any lumps and bumps in odd places.

Please Do

  • Always read the care label and washing instructions before washing your clothes.
  • Arrange your laundry into groups with similar wash care instructions and separate into whites, darks and colours.
  • The care label washing temperature is the highest permitted temperature. You may however wash at a lower temperature than stated.
  • Ideally use a non-bio detergent and wash at a lower temperature.
  • Rinse swimwear immediately after use and hang to dry naturally.
  • Turn garments inside out before washing, especially if beaded or sequinned.

Please Don’t

  • Avoid using too much detergent.
  • Do not use fabric detergents which contain bleach.
  • Do not tumble dry garments unless specified on the care label.
  • Do not iron prints, trims or embellishments.
  • Do not leave garments with white contrast coloured panels soaking for prolonged periods.
  • Do not leave garments with metal trims to soak.

Above all, please, please think of the environment!

The dreaded ‘S’ word!!

If the worst should happen and you find a stain..

  • Treat the stain as soon as possible, preferably in cold water.
  • Do not put it in a hot wash as this will set the stain.
  • Try and identify the stain and it’s cause.
  • Always try removing with cold water first, then move onto stain removal products.
  • Be gentle and coax the stain off, remember it is better to dab at both sides of the fabric than scrub at one.
  • Test the method that you’re going to use on a part of the garment that doesn’t normally show, then it doesn’t matter if it makes it worse.
